This one seems to me peculiarly interesting, and its true. This incident took place in 2009. A professor who used to teach at some college in UK, who was offered to teach at IIT-K, came to the campus. He had heard about the PK Kelkar library to be one of the best in the country, and so went out there to explore. But as soon as he entered, he was amazed. The library was full to the extent that students were sitting on the floor to study. He literally had tears in his eyes, and gave a call to his acquaintance back in UK about the hardwork and determination put in by Indian Students. He thought, "This is the place I want to be, and these are the kind of students I want to teach!". He joined IITK. One Week Later The professor visited the library the next week to receive a shock. There was not a single student to be seen. Why? When he inquired, he got to know that the mid-semester examination was going on the previous week and its the time when PK Kelkar becomes the hottest place in campus, and remains as just any other lonely building rest of times. Dreams shattered !!!
